South Center for Human Rights organizes a peaceful gathering
South Center for Human Rights organizes a peaceful gathering in solidarity with the migrant's rights on the occasion of the International Migrants Day. The gathering will take place next Monday December 18, at 1:00 pm, on front of the United Nations Information Center, Cairo office, 1 Osiris St. Garden City.
The gathering aims to demonstrate solidarity with more than 190 million world migrants, most of them suffer from social, economic, cultural, and political discrimination. It also aims to address the Egyptian Government to take visible steps to defend the rights of the Egyptian Labor migrants, and to have an effective policy in the fight against smuggling of the youth migrants in Egypt.

وقفة تضامنية لدعم حقوق المهاجرين
16/12/2006ينظم مركز الجنوب لحقوق الإنسان في الساعة الواحدة ظهراً يوم 18 ديسمبر الجاري وقفة أمام مكتب الأمم المتحدة الإعلامي بالقاهرة بمناسبة الاحتفال باليوم العالمي للمهاجر. ويدعو مركز الجنوب لحقوق الإنسان كافة النشطاء والمنظمات المدنية المعنية بحقوق المهاجرين المشاركة في هذه الوقفة بهدف الإعلان عن التضامن مع أكثر من 190 مليون مهاجر في العالم يعاني غالبيتهم من التمييز على كافة المستويات الانسانية والاقتصادية والسياسية.وتأتي هذه الدعوة أيضا لدفع الحكومة المصرية لبذل مزيد من الجهد لحماية حقوق المصرين بالخارج وتشديد العقوبات على عصابات تهريب البشر التي تنشط في أوساط الشباب في مصر.
